Mr. Alvin Earl Maxson, 70, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico formerly of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Maxson will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Ebenezer Baptist church, located at 675 College Street-Beaumont, Texas 77701, Reverend Kavin Jones, Sr., Officiating.

Alvin was born in Beaumont, Texas to the late Lloyd and Daisy Maxson on November 12, 1951.

Alvin was an outstanding running back at Hebert High School and Southern Methodist University. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1974.

Alvin's loving memories will forever be cherished by his two daughters, Sierra Castro (Channel) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Brooke Franklin (Steven) of Aurora, Colorado; a sister, Consuelo Compton (Herman) and a brother, Kenneth Maxson (Myrtle) all of Beaumont, Texas; three grandchildren, Ian, Dominic and Zoe Castro all of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
