Audrey Bossett White, the only girl born to the union of Albert Bossett, Sr, and Hallie Williams Bossett, was born on December 20, 1927 in Cheek, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Bossett, Sr., her mother, Hallie Williams Bossett, her brothers, Albert Bossett, Chester Bossett, Jessie Jones, her granddaughter Kuktina White, and her husband John Henry White, Sr.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior.  Audrey attended public schools in Beaumont, Texas and graduated from Charlton-Pollard High School in 1945. She furthered her education at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. It was at Wiley College where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. in 1948.

On October 3, 1950, Audrey was united in matrimony with Mr. John Henry White, Sr. To that union four (4) children were born. They were married 65 beautiful, loving, caring years until John succumbed to cancer in 2016.

Later in life she attended Prairie View University and received her teaching certification.  Audrey continued her career as an educator in mathematics for Beaumont Independent School District until she retired in 1992.

During her more active years of service with Alpha Omega Omega she held many offices and worked on many committees such as President, Treasurer and calendar committees. In February of this year during the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's 115th Founder's Day Observance, she was honored as a Diamond Member marking 75 years of service. This was a true honor and she was so proud.
