Charlotte's Journey
With profound love and cherished memories, we celebrate the
beautiful life of Mrs. Charlotte A. Dunn, who peacefully entered
eternal rest on May 3, 2026. Charlotte lived a life rooted in love,
strength, devotion to family, and compassion for others. Her warm
spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone blessed
to know her.
Charlotte was born on August 2, 1953, to Ruby Cecilia Faulk Savoy and
Kenneth Savoy. She received her education at Blessed Sacrament
Catholic School and later attended Beaumont High School. On November 21, 1970, she united in marriage with Robert C. Dunn, and from this union two loving children were born, Robert Jr. and
Kimberly.
Charlotte was a dedicated and hardworking woman who faithfully
served at Memorial Hermann Hospital for more than 20 years before
retiring in 2009.
Charlotte was a proud, loyal, die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Anytime the Cowboys were playing, you could count on hearing her yelling at the tv for every play, bad call, and touchdown. Whenever the Cowboys scored, rest assured you would receive a text saying, "GO COWBOYS GO!"
In December 2015, Charlotte met Joseph Abron Comeaux, and the two quickly formed a loving
and inseparable bond. Together they shared companionship, laughter, and many treasured
moments that brought joy to her later years.
The Cowboys were her team, and she loved them through every season, win or loss. One of her fondest memories was visiting the old Texas Stadium with her cousins before it was demolished.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ruby Cecilia Faulk Savoy; father, Kenneth Savoy; stepfather, Steve Ozen; brother Ronald J. Savoy and sisters Ken Louise Savoy;
Regina Savoy; brother-in-law Kirk Jones Sr.; and nephew Ray A. Jones.
She leaves to cherish her
loving memory: her devoted son, Robert C. Dunn Jr. (Felicia); her loving daughter, Kimberly N. Lewis (Charles); grandchildren NaTarsha Joseph, Jalessa Johnson, Jelani Lee Jr., Mia Dunn, and
Nadia Dunn; and great-grandchildren Christian Johnson and Cincere Batiste.
She took pride in her work and formed many meaningful relationships throughout her years of
service.
She also leaves behind herl oving sister, Joyce E. Jones; brothers Eric W. Savoy (Sonya), Michael C. Savoy (Veronica), and Steven P. Savoy (Nicole); her dear friends Ms. Linda, Ms. Candy and Ms. Wanda; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the love and memories she shared. Charlotte's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will remain in our hearts forever.
