Mr.Clarence "Snook" Matthews, 7 9, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas.

Celebration of Life Visitation Service for Mr. Matthews will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m., with the practice of social distancing and Facial Masks required. The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Matthews will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel with entombment service to follow at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery Mausoleum in Welch, Louisiana under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Mr. Matthews memories will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Joanetta Lemell Matthews, with whom he shared fifty-three wonderful years; his sons, Eric V. Matthews, Sr., (Tonya) of Houston, Texas, Brian J. Matthews of Baytown, Texas, Mark A. Matthews (Sharon) of Port Arthur, Texas, Clarence Matthews, Jr. of           Opelousas, Louisiana; his daughter, Brenda G. Matthews of Opelousas, Louisiana; his sister, Mary Louise Hockless of New Iberia, Louisiana; his brother, Timothy Matthews, Sr. (Joyce) of Morgan City, Louisiana; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Matthews of New Iberia, Louisiana, three grandsons, one granddaughter, four great granddaughters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
