David Wayne Mayes, 40, of Cypress, Texas formerly of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Cypress, Texas.

Celebration of Life Visitation Service for Mr. Mayes will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel with the practice of social distancing and Facial Mask required. A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Mayes will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Anthony Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Mr. Mayes's memories will forever remain in the hearts of his wife Nikita Mayes and four children, Jayla and David Murray Jr., Serenity and Serayah Mayes; his  parents, David Williams and Cassandra Mayes; his siblings Craig Cameron, Shauna Mayes-Punch (Joseph), Chantelle Williams, Christina Mayes-Lewis (Brandon), Katrina Mayes, and Javis Williams. Maternal uncles; Charlie Mayes, Jr. (Lillie), John Mayes and Eric Mayes Sr. (Jhani). Paternal Uncle; Pearce Williams (Lula). Maternal Aunts; Chalotte Mayes  Jones (Albert), Charletha Ruth Mayes Baker (Tony), and Irma Mayes "Tina" Mayes. Paternal Aunts; Luretha Adams (Melvin), Ella Brouchet (Thermon), Dorothy Thomas, Janet Henry, Betty Carter (Carl), Veronica Smith (Bobby), and Lucinda Fletcher (Ray), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
