REMEMBERING THE LIFE

OF

Deborah Yvonne Malone

January 7, 1956-May 25, 2024

Deborah Yvonne Malone passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, at the age of 68 surrounded by family at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. She was born on January 7, 1956, to the late Robert Richardson and Ruby B Wilson Richardson in Beaumont, TX.

Deborah loved the Lord! Jesus Christ was the center of her life! She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, under the leadership of the late Rev. D.C. Coney of Magnolia Baptist Church. Later in life she and her late husband became members of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. John R. Adolph. She was very fond of her church family and remained a faithful member until her earthly transition.

Deborah was educated in Beaumont, TX and was a graduate of Charlton Pollard Class of 1974 where she formed lifelong friendships. Her career as a financial banker spanned nearly four decades retiring from BBVA. She was respected for her expertise, dedication, and the genuine care she showed to her clients and colleagues alike.

Deborah's family was the cornerstone of her life. She was the beloved wife of Louis Malone, who preceded her in death. He was her partner in both love and life, and together they created a legacy of kindness and devotion that continues to inspire. She was a cherished sister to Shirley Sanders, Joann Richardson Bryant, Beatrice Bennett (Arnold), Robin Williams (Bert), and Reverend Jesse Richardson who will remember her as the glue that held the family together. A role she embraced with a loving and faith filled heart. Her guidance, laughter, and passion for life will live on through the stories they share and the memories they forever hold dear. She was a dear godmother to Reginald Wilmer Lemelle and a doting aunt to a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Her wise counsel, heartfelt generosity, and the laughter she shared will continue to resonate with those she has left behind.

Deborah had a love for cruising, a hobby that took her on many adventures across the seas, exploring new destinations, and creating memories and friendships to last a lifetime. The open sea was her sanctuary, a place where she found joy and tranquility but more than anything a time of reflection of the goodness of God. "Born of His spirit and washed in His blood" she trusted God in every aspect.  Her faith never wavered, especially during her most trying times "she sought Him".

Deborah's life was a journey of love and faith, and she has now set sail on her final cruise, leaving behind a wake of love and cherished memories. Those who had the privilege of knowing Deborah will remember her as a beacon of love and kindness. We celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that has touched so many.

Deborah Yvonne Malone, a remarkable soul, a guiding light, and an enduring inspiration!
