Ms. Ercell Bowman, 81, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Monday, January 14, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas.

In honor of her life a celebration service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Baptist Church, located at 4390 Fannett Rd. Beaumont, Texas 77705. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Baptist Church.  Burial service to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park and Cemetery in Nederland, Texas under direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Ercell's Obituary

Ercell was born January 23, 1942 to Percy Borbin, Sr. and Lydia Borbin. She was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church in her teens.  She later joined Paradise Baptist Church and attended until she became ill.

Ercell was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Borbin Sr. and Lydia Borbin and one sibling, Percy Borbin, Jr. She is survived by her children, Cassandra Romar (Gerald), Stephanie Lane (Darryl) James Bowman (Shontell); one sister, Lydia Borbin and one sister-in-Law, Thelma Borbin; her one living aunt, Eloise Cohee; grandchildren, Jordan Romar (Rikell), Sherard Romar, Britney Romar, Jasmine Bowman, Raven Lane, Aaliyah Lane, Jase Bowman and London Coleman; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ercell "Loved her children and grandchildren" and she "never met a stranger".  She will be missed by all the lives she touched in her lifetime.
