Mrs. Esther Ruth Bailey Chavis, 83, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Chavis will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, (2725 W. Virginia Street in Beaumont, Texas 77705).  The practicing of social distancing and Facial Masks are required.  A public viewing for Mrs. Chavis will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., the practicing of Social Distancing and Facial Masks are required.

Esther's memories will forever be in the hearts of her devoted husband, Irven Chavis; and stepchildren, Cyril Chavis MD (Arwonder), Tamerla Chavis MD, Iran Chavis (Yolanda Renee), and Jaylon Chavis; in addition to loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives, and friends.
