Mrs. Felicia Shepherd, 56, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas.

Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Shepherd will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Promise, located at, 4490 Crow Road Beaumont, Texas 77706. A public viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and visitation on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church, under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home. For your safety, Social Distancing and Facial Masks are Recommended.

Reflection of Life

On the blessed day of October 7, 2024 our beloved Felicia Denise Jimerson Shepherd transitioned from this land of "somemore" to the everlasting and eternal land of "no more"; no more sickness, no more aches, no more pain, no more death, and no more sorrows. She is at rest in her heavenly home; absent from the body but present with the Lord!! She is finally free!!!!

To God be the Glory!!!

On November 20, 1967, God blessed Marvin C. Jimerson, Sr. and Pearlie G. (Rivers) Jimerson with the gift of a baby girl born in Houston, Texas who was and is loved beyond measure. She was and is also loved and cherished by her three siblings; Luther Rivers, Marvin Jimerson, Jr. and Belinda Colston as well as her brother-in-law, Lorenzo Colston. Our brother, Marvin Jimerson, Jr., transitioned to eternal life on May 16, 2023, but in his lifetime he truly loved his sister as we, her surviving siblings, do.
During Felicia's lifetime she was blessed with three children; Ja'Marcus Abercrombie, Tiffany Davis and Brittany Deckard.
However prior to her death, her son, Ja'Marcus as well as her daughter, Tiffany gained their wings at birth and was embraced by the love of our Heavenly Father. However, God is not short on blessings or miracles, God blessed her daughter, Brittany Deckard with a beautiful daughter, Zariah Eunique-Denise Deckard, who is her only grandchild..Yes, Zariah was truly loved by her "Nana". We won't say spoiled but "well loved" may be the appropriate term!!
Felicia was and is also loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends…
Preceding Felicia in death were those who helped to pave the way, those who taught us to believe in ourselves and to be proud of our roots but even more so and most importantly to have a personal relationship with God; Chester Gregory and Pearl Lee Gregory, Walter Jones, Sr. and Dixie Bell Jones. Our great aunts and uncles knew the value and the importance of pouring into us and blessing us with the word of God. Also, we have all gleaned from the fields of our uncles Wilbert Lee Bolton "Sonny", Larry O'Neal Bolton, and Ivory Jones, who have also gone on to glory.
Each one of these individuals played a role in the men and women we are today!
Felicia has fought the good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith so don't weep as those with no hope. God loves you and is able to comfort and bless you in this season
