Mr. Irven J. Chavis, 85, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas.

Celebration of Life Visitation Service for Mr. Chavis will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m., with the practice of social distancing and facial masks required. The Mass of Christian Burial Celebration  Service for Mr. Chavis will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 780 Porter Street in Beaumont, Texas 77701 with Entombment burial service to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park and Cemetery Mausoleum X, under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Mr. Chavis's memories will forever remain in the hearts of his four children, Cyril (Arwonder), Tamerla, Iran (Yolanda Renee) and Jaylon Chavis ; Godson, Kevin Chavis; siblings , Irma Anderson (Charles), Edward C. (Bobbie), Barbara Essex, Theresa C, Joyce C, Martin C (Carol), Mary C (Cedric), James C, Katie C, Gwendolyn C, Earline Monica Guidry (Theo), David C, and Mary Francis; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
