John Thomas was born March 19, 1957 to parents of Velma Thomas and Reverend and Mrs. McClendon in Marianna, AR.

John attended Lee High School where he graduated from the class of 1975. He went on to join the Navy and attended several colleges. Years later, John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and heart failure after fighting this long for many years, he was called home to be with the lord

He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Thomas; parents, Rev. & Mrs. McClendon; and son, Kiethrick Antion.

John lives in the memories of his w ife, Frances Scott Thomas; d aughters, Imani Thomas, Latina Flannel, Takeisha Flannel; sons, Montorio Hines, John Crumbly, Demond Thomas, Jonathan Thomas; b onus daughters, Khristana Lewis, Katalina Scott, Desire Harvey; Uncle, Doyle Brown and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
