Obituary

Mr. Kelvin Fitzgerald Mitchell was born on January 20, 1963 to J.W. (Black Jack) and Vivian Armstrong Mitchell in Beaumont, TX. He was lovingly known as Gerald to all that knew and loved him.
Gerald graduated from French High School in Beaumont, TX. He then attended culinary school at Lamar University.
He was loved for his fun loving attitude and zeal for life. He was always there for anyone that needed his help.
Gerald absolutely loved to cook and prided himself on his abilities. He worked in the food industry for several years, his last job being Red Lobster. He was a cook there until his health began to fail and he had no choice but to walk away from what he loved.
On Wednesday March 17, 2021, Gerald answered his final call, leaving his beloved family and friends to grieve him.
He was preceded in death by both parents, J.W. (Black Jack) and Vivian Armstrong Mitchell, and a brother Delbert O. Mitchell.
Gerald left to cherish his memory two daughters, LaQuan Malone Mitchell of Houston, Texas and Sundae Mitchell of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Wyann Marquita Jordan (Albert) of Beaumont, Texas; and two brothers, Rodney Wayne Mitchell (Sara) of Beaumont, Texas and Jack Mitchell of Duncanville, Texas. He also left behind seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
