Mr. Kenneth Z. Pumphrey, 64, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Celebration of Life Visitation Service for Mr. Pumphrey will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m., with the practice of social distancing and facial masks required. An Omega Psi Phi ritual is schedule for 9:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.  The Mass of Christian Burial Service for Mr. Pumphrey will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 3390 Sarah Street, Beaumont, Texas 77705 under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. The practice of social distancing and facial masks required.

Ken was peacefully relieved of his earthly duties, surrounded by family on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Lukes Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by both sets of parents and brother, Peter N. Pumphrey.

Ken's love and memories will remain in the hearts of his brothers, Gregory A. Pumphrey, Sr. (Beulah) and George B. Pumphrey (Wanda) both of Beaumont, Texas; two sisters, Kathleen Pumphrey and Eileen Pumphrey both of Beaumont, Texas; three nephews, Gregory A. Pumphrey, Jr. (Shonna) of Garland, Texas, Curtis F. Pumphrey, Sr. and Cory T. Long of Beaumont, Texas; niece, Leslie L. Pumphrey of Richmond, Texas; Godmother, Mrs. Dorothy Daniels; Goddaughters, Monica Cummings, Ashley Hebert; Godson, Gregory Pumphrey, Jr.; great-nephews, Jonathan Signater, Kole Long, Curtis F. Pumphrey, Jr., Jacob G. Pumphrey, Corion Pumphrey and Noah E. Pumphrey; great-nieces, Kori E. Long, Corbie M. Pumphrey, Zacharie Pumphrey and Sarah Pumphrey; best friend, Detra Stewart; and a host of cousin, other relatives and friends.
