Mrs. Lela Mae Young, 100, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Young will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint James United Methodist Church, located at 2485 Blanchette Street in Beaumont, Texas.  The public viewing for Mrs. Young will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and visitation on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Saint James United Methodist Church, with the practice of social distancing and Facial Masks are required. Burial Service to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter, Joan Faye Stewart; Son, Garland Young (Etta) of Houston, Texas; Sister- In-Law, Elouise Young of Beaumont, Texas; Granddaughter, Garland Callie Young of Baltimore, Maryland; Special Grandson, Jabari Simpson of Jacksonville, Florida; Niece, Shirley Owens of Beaumont, Texas; Nephew, Keith B. Young of Tyler, Texas; Great-Nephew, Koby B. Young of Beaumont, Texas and a host of other relatives and special friends.
