Mr. Oliver "Ben" James, 93, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. James will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mt. Rose Baptist Church, located at 1205 Gladys Street- Beaumont, Texas 77701. A public viewing for Mr. James will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel from, 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. at the church, with burial service to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas. The practicing of social distracting and facial masks are required.

Mr. Ben's leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Sonya James McCray (Lee) of Beaumont Texas, Irma James of Houston Texas, Jerome James and Jackie James of Beaumont, Texas and Gilbert Boswell of The Woodlands, Texas; one brother, Lionel James of Galveston, Texas; twenty-five grandchildren, and a host of great-grand and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
