Mrs. Opal Truvillion, 96, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Beaumont, Texas.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Truvillion will be held on Saturday, February 24,2024 at 10: 00 a.m.  at St. James United Methodist Church located at 2485 Blanchette Street in Beaumont, TX 77701. A public viewing and visitation with the family will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until to 5:00 p.m.at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1395 Gladys Street, Beaumont, TX 77701 and at the church on Saturday prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

Mrs. Opal Jean Spikes Truvillion peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was born in Wiergate, Texas and grew up in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating from Charlton Pollard High School in 1945, she attended cosmetology school and later worked as a Beauty Operator. She went on to work at St. Anthony Basilica from where she retired.

Opal is survived by her nieces, Peggy S. Colbert; Gaynell Lewis; and Jeanette B. Godley (Rufus) all of Houston; four great nieces, Timolin Colbert "Lady"'; Jessica Caziere; Nashonna Barnes; and Naporchia Barnes; one nephew, Laron Williams; and 1 great niece, 6 great nephews and one godson, Kenneth Garrett (Carmen).
