Celebration of Life Services for Sylvester Scott will be Saturday morning, July 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Douglas Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church located at 1370 Ewing Street in Beaumont, Texas. A public viewing for Scott will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel, and on Saturday morning, July 15, 2023, from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Church under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Sylvester's memories will forever be etched in the hearts of his wife, Dr. Dee Hall Scott; his son, Cavin Scott; aunt, Everlene Stewart; stepson, Damon Mattox (Sharon); goddaughter, Alecia Johnson (Charles); grandchildren, Ian Scott, Cayla Scott, and step granddaughter, Sydney Mattox; Granny- Louise Collins; nieces---Kim & Jasmine Young, Lynn Eason (Donald); nephews, George Young (Tina), Anthony Young (Aaricka), Marcellus Scott (Ariel) and Brandon Scott; brotherly friend, Rufus Parker; host of cousins and good, good friends.
