Mr. Vernon D. Booker, Jr. 70, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in Beaumont, Texas.

The Celebration Services for Mr. Booker will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8398 FM 1005 Kirbyville, Texas 75956. Burial Service to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Magnolia Spring, Texas under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held for Mr. Booker on Friday, June 3, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until 5:30 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. at the church. With the practice of Social Distancing and Facial Masks "optional".

Mr. Booker's memories will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Iris Booker; children,              Dr. Jonathan Booker, Leeia Booker Lynn (David), Michael Booker and Demetria Booker Anderson (Lamar); sisters, Dr. Jennifer T. Butcher and, Deborah Williams; brother, Kenneth Booker; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
