Viola Virginia Graham, aged 99, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas.

Graveside and Entombment Service for Mrs. Graham will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, located at 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703. For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

Obituary

Viola Virginia Graham, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Summer Place Nursing Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Viola Virginia Martin was born on  November 4, 1925, to the union of the late Abraham and Cecilia Martin in St. Martinville, Louisiana.

She married Charles F. Graham on January 19,1968 in Beaumont, Texas. She worked at the Pig Stand for several years then became a homemaker.

Viola Graham is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Graham; father, A. B. Martin; mother, Cecilia Martin and her adopted mother, Mary Strause. Viola had five children, her sons, Johnnie "Bubba" Smith, Jr. and Willis Martin; her daughter, Janel Smith; granddaughter, Angela Martin; grandson, Michael J. Moffett,  preceded her in death as well.

She is survived by three daughters, Rosie Jones, Betty Shynett, and Lynda Alcorn and her son, Jimmie Smith as well as a multitude of grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Viola's wishes, as a devout Catholic, were to leave us with a final rosary, to be recited 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.
